A Guide to Bringing Liquor Onboard

Can You Bring Liquor on a Cruise?

As a general rule, Royal Caribbean does not allow any forms of liquor to be brought on their ships. This includes hard liquor, wine, and beer. The only exception is for passengers who are traveling with a valid medical prescription for alcohol. In this case, the passenger must present the prescription to a crew member at the security checkpoint.

There are a few reasons why Royal Caribbean has this policy. First, the company wants to ensure the safety of its passengers. Alcohol can impair judgment and lead to accidents. Second, Royal Caribbean does not want to encourage passengers to drink excessively. The company wants to create a family-friendly environment for all of its guests.

What About Wine and Beer?

Royal Caribbean also does not allow passengers to bring wine or beer on their ships. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. Passengers may bring one bottle of wine per cabin if they are traveling in a suite or a concierge-level stateroom. Passengers may also bring one six-pack of beer per cabin.

The wine and beer must be in unopened containers and must be stored in the passenger's stateroom. Passengers are not allowed to consume alcohol in public areas of the ship.

Consequences of Breaking the Rules

If a passenger is caught bringing liquor on a Royal Caribbean ship, the alcohol will be confiscated. The passenger may also be fined or banned from the ship.

It is important to follow the rules and regulations of Royal Caribbean when it comes to bringing alcohol on board. If you have any questions about the policy, please contact Royal Caribbean directly.
